Jaap heeft nipt de finale van X Factor gewonnen. Met 51 procent van de stemmen versloeg hij Maaike. Niet alleen gaat Jaap optreden met Jamie Cullum, begin juni in de Heineken Music Hall, ook is hij later dit jaar te zien bij de TMF Awards. Don’t Stop Believing vinden we een prima single voor Jaap. Natuurlijk, A Little Help From My Friends deed Jaap weergaloos. Maar met die song als single zou je het Lisa Hallelujah effect gaan krijgen: na een paar keer ben je het helemaal zat en is zo’n geweldige song voor jaren stuk gemaakt. Trouwens, Journey zong al eerder Don’t Stop Believing, van het album Escape uit 1981. Veel succes Jaap!
